Halloween has always been my favorite holiday.  This year, all of my creativity went into putting this cake together instead of into a costume.  (I’ll spare you all the bright orange pictures of me dressed up as a traffic cone…)  The round base and the large skull on top are chocolate cake with ganache filling.  Each are draped in fondant and decorated with chocolate piping.  The smaller sugar skulls are gum paste.

This is my favorite tiny skull.
