Another beautiful, uncomplicated piece from this weekend. My clients had an autumnal color palette they were working with, which happens to be one of my all-time favorites. Combined with their “designer’s choice” approach to the style of their cake, of course I got a little excited. After quelling a slightly maniacal laugh, I corrected myself and invited them to share with me how bold they wanted to go with their design. Their reply was very trusting. “A little bit of flair is ok.”
Ok, so we’re not going Food Network nutty, here. That’s cool! I can work with that… I think to myself. Although my style is generally known for being more lavish and over-the-top, I must say I’m beginning to embrace a cleaner, simpler look. Simple, but bold. Deliberate. Statement-worthy.
And so she was hatched!
